A First Floor Renovation in West Chester Brings a Home into 2025

The owners of this 1960’s home in the Spring Meadows neighborhood of West Chester wanted to update the look of thie kitchen and two bathrooms. They did a full renovation of their kitchen area, adding a large island with extra seating for their children and grandchildren, a double oven and double range, industrial-sized refrigerator and freezer, and a long bar for entertaining.

The new space accomodates large parties celebrating the holidays, reunions, and special events. “Our clients were so happy to have one large room for everyone to gather together, instead of being spread out,” says Miller Residential’s Natale Moore. The two sets of ovens and ranges help cook various side dishes and meals at the same time, cutting down on prep.

Also on the first floor, the main bathroom was updated with a wide shower and new tile and plumbing fixtures. Updated lighting and paint refresh the space for guests.

The homeowners renovated their primary bathroom for include a double sink vanity and prep area, soaking tub, and double shower. “We added thoughtful features, such as an inset shelf by the tub, and spa showerheads, to make their bathroom a restful retreat,” says Natale.
