Custom Staining and Refinishing Floors for Generations to Come
When a long-time customer requires work above and beyond: Miller Residential removed these white oak 1 1/2" thick rifted and quartered stair treads, sanded and refinished them at their headquarters, then reinstalled them like new back to the client's office building.
The wood was "popped" by soaking in water to make the grain open before a coffee brown stain and two coats of water-based polyurethane were applied. This makes the stain go deeper into the wood.
These oak stairs will last more than a 150 years with proper care. Miller Residential’s team will be refinishing the first floor of this client’s building to match these beautiful oak stairs.
